In a town where rush hour doesn't exist, there are still times when it pays to beat the traffic.

With the exception of the occasional bluebird powder day at Mt. Bachelor, Bend is pretty much immune to the bumper-to-bumper commutes that plague cities like Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. But that doesn't mean folks here don't know how to put the pedal to the metal when they need to seize a great opportunity.
For example, the model home at Milepost 1, the new collection of townhomes and single-family homes by Arrowood Development, LLC, is just receiving the finishing touches. And it will undoubtedly receive tremendous exposure on the COBA Tour of Homes in July. Yet we've already sold it. Along with eight other homes in the neighborhood that are still under construction.
What's so special about Milepost 1, you ask? Well, let's look at a few important mileposts, if you will:
- Being located at the Seventh Mountain Resort makes it Bend's closest neighborhood to Mt. Bachelor and the Cascade Lakes. (Yes, even closer than our adjacent community of PointsWest.)
- It's literally just a few steps away from Widgi Creek Golf Course and the Deschutes River Trail.
- It's an easy 10-minute drive to shopping and dining in Bend.
- We handle all the routine maintenance and snow removal, which means you'll have plenty of time to enjoy all of the above.
But perhaps what's most impressive about Milepost 1 is the quality of design spearheaded by architect John Muir and the opportunity to customize one of our exquisite floor plans - including two more that are almost completed - with your choice of fixtures and finishes.
So with all the crowds associated with the grand opening of Milepost 1 just around the corner, now's the time to get a head start. Model home open Saturday May 5 at noon.
